An exploration of illusion, identity, and growing up in a world that remains unresolved - Convenience Store reveal their debut album Tabis.

Convenience Store push their signature tightrope between confession and cinema to its most ambitious and affecting extremes.

It’s a record about illusions: the stories we tell ourselves to survive, the doublespeak of growing up, and the disorienting sense that nothing in life ever fully resolves.

Named after the Japanese split-toe shoe that conceals five toes within the illusion of two, Tabis is steeped in multiplicity.

Across eleven tracks written and recorded in the band’s basement studio, the album shapeshifts, with each song a different kind of disguise, walking the line between deception and truth, artifice and honesty.

Tabis is a record of sharp turns, sincere contradictions, and a refusal to fit neatly into genre or era.

It’s deeply considered, sonically ambitious, and full of bruised, beautiful truths.

An album about movement, memory, and the weight of meaning and perhaps, more than anything else, about continuing to walk forward even when you don’t know where you’ll end up.

Convienence Store's debut album Tabis is avaliable to stream now.
